Surprise Engagement session

One of my favorite things about photographing in Boston is that sometimes the best moments are completely unplanned.

I was walking through the city when I noticed a couple who had literally just gotten engaged. They were so excited, and I asked if I could take a few photos of them to celebrate the moment.

No planning, no outfits picked out, no formal session — just a newly engaged couple, a few minutes together, and some photos they’ll always have from the exact day it happened.

I love moments like this because they’re such a reminder that engagement photos don’t always have to feel overly planned or posed. Sometimes the most meaningful photos are the ones that happen naturally.
