its the little things

Small details can really elevate your bridal boudoir session without going overboard, here’s what I think you need, and what you definitely don’t.

Manicure — yes. Your hands will be in so many images, especially if this is a wedding gift, because we are absolutely making sure that engagement ring is in every shot possible.

Pedicure — honestly, not necessary unless you specifically want your feet in photos. I almost never photograph them…but if you’re already at the salon, you might as well treat yourself.

Blowouts — even if you get it the day before, a subtle bounce in your hair makes such a difference on camera. If you have braids or extensions, I would absolutely try to line your session up with a fresh install or refresh.

Heels are a yes — and the skinnier and taller the heel, the better. Remember, we do not need to walk in them. I know people love bringing their actual wedding shoes, and I’m honestly 50/50 on it. If they’re flat or have a chunky heel, I’d probably leave them at home and grab a simple pair from Amazon instead. It also lowers the risk of scuffing them before the wedding. That being said, if you have a really funky, designer, or statement shoe you want to show off, I think that is such a vibe and absolutely worth bringing.

Do not bring your wedding veil to the studio. You could get makeup on it, tear it, or even lose it. I have a million different veils we can use so yours stays safe and perfect for the big day.

At the end of the day, the little details absolutely help, but the confidence, excitement, and bridal energy you bring into the studio are what actually make the photos unforgettable.
